Masseria Fontanelle lies near Ugento, between Gallipoli and Santa Maria di Leuca, on the splendid promontory of the Serre Salentine. From this privileged vantage point, one can admire the enchanting panorama of the Ionian Sea and breathe in the air scented with salt and Mediterranean scrub.
The oldest part of the estate dates back to between the 17th and 19th centuries. Originally built as a convent, Masseria Fontanelle has been lovingly restored, giving it a new life while preserving its timeless soul. Within its ancient walls reign beauty, serenity, and quiet contemplation; just beyond them, the lush greenery of the Litorale di Ugento Natural Park unfolds — a landscape of pine forests and an idyllic white-sand beach stretching for over eight kilometres, bordered by pristine dunes.
This coastline, often called the “Maldives of Salento”, is renowned for its crystal-clear waters shimmering in shades of turquoise, emerald, and deep blue. Imagine the sheer bliss of diving into this sea whenever you wish.
